| Alanon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Alanon believes that alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.
Alanon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. They do this by following the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic. Activities involve personal, confidential assistance and information on alcohol and drugs by others who have had personal experience with these problems.
Membership is open to men, women and children of all nationalities. There is no charge for membership. Membership entitles you to join the support system for the families who are or have been adversely affected by alcohol and drugs.
Al-Anon meetings are held regularly in Jakarta. The location and days vary for the members’ convenience.
